Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God ...

The Purpose ...

The Power ...

THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you over evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide;
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow.
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

  1. A remembrance --
    I remember when I was little setting in church on an Easter morning wearing my new Easter dress, frilly white socks and new white shoes, carrying my new white zipper KJV Bible which was a gift from my Gram Anna she bought from the Sears catalog. I was setting between my Mom and Dad. Dad's 'Old Spice' intermingling with Mom's 'Tweed' and just glowing inside from listening to them singing this wonderful hymn during Sunday service. My Dad had a booming, barratone voice. (If I could hear him just one more time! Oh but I will, I will!) I never felt so much love, joy and pride. That's when I fell in love with my Jesus ... that Easter Sunday. It started the Christmas before with the baby Jesus in the manger and then to know that He died for me that Easter ... I accepted Him with the sound of this song, sung by my parent's on Easter Sunday in 1968.
